Objective >>
This project developed a seasonal train livery concept for Beijing Suburban Railway Line S2, a route known for its connection to the Great Wall and spring peach blossoms along the tracks. The goal was to combine regional scenery, seasonal atmosphere, and railway identity into a harmonious exterior design while keeping the train’s existing cheatline as a decorative band.
Approach >>
My approach transformed peach blossoms into a wind-blown, wavy visual line that moves across the train body, suggesting both motion and the passing spring landscape. To avoid a cheap or overly generic “traditional” look, I paired the floral rhythm with handwritten poem elements rather than standard decorative typefaces, creating a softer and more authentic cultural tone.
